19 CRIMES

A nationwide art competition for 19 Crimes.

Client: 19 CrimesLocation: Canada wide competitionProject Type: Hand painted canvasDate Completed: February 2024

19 Crimes is hosted a nation wide art contest with 3 chosen artists, myself being one of them. One winner was to be determined by the nation voting . . . I ended up winning and limited edition crewnecks with my artwork, ‘Lady Rouge’, were made available for purchase.

‘Lady Rouge’ – Hand painted 36 x 48 inch canvas for 19 Crimes

Given full creative freedom, I wanted to create a painting inspired by a previous mural of mine that is very special to me and still one of my favourites, ‘The Lady of Manchester Square’. When I designed that mural, I was very proud of the design and felt that it really captured my style, mood, and tone that I like to include when given free range of an artwork.

Working with @19crimes, I wanted to include my signature floral style with red and white flowers representing red and white wines and the woman’s face pulling inspiration from the sepia toned labels of the 19 Crimes bottles.
